Le Petit Journal was a popular French newspaper that had a subscription base aroun d 1 million in the late 1890's. They were the organizer of one of the first official cycling races, Paris-Brest-Paris in 1891.  The race still exists today in the form of a randoneour event run every four years.  Le Petit Journal continued to sponsor cycle racing until their demise in 1944.  Condition is consistent with age.
