H.L.V. Parkhurst (1876-1962) Born in Minneapolis, MN, Parkhurst studied at the Art Institute of Chicago. After a period working in Chicago he moved to New York where he was the art Director for the Frank Seaman Advertising Agency. During the Great Depression when advertising collapsed, he became a well known Pulp Artist. He painted covers for many of the best known pulp magazines of the time.
