Puck was America’s first political satire magazine and was originally published in English and German. During it’s history the magazine’s political leanings brought it to supporting most of the causes of the Democratic Party. Judge magazine's political leanings were toward Republican Party issues and it’s editor in the early 1920’s would go on to found The New Yorker Magazine.
